I started my career after graduating with a B.A. in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz. My first job was as a case manager in a long term residential dual diagnosis program for addiction and mental illness. This job provided me with a wealth of knowledge and spurred me to pursue my career further through a graduate program in social work at San Diego State University.
I graduated in 1994 with an MSW and began working as a mental health professional for Jewish Family Services. I was a social worker/therapist and later clinical supervisor at an inpatient psychiatric hospital as well as an outpatient mental health clinic specializing in mothers and children experiencing domestic violence.
I began my private practice in 2004, seeing individual clients with depression and anxiety. I developed a special interest in pregnancy and postpartum mental health and received training from Postpartum Support International. Through my work with new parents, I expanded my practice to work with couples and relationship conflict utilizing my training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.
I am a member of National Association of Social Workers (NASW), California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT), The EFT Center of Los Angeles (EFTCLA) and Postpartum Support International (PSI).
